I 100% recommend resetting your game if all of your characters can only choose HARD tier goals right off the beginning.Įarn 15 perk checks.Ěre ALL unlockable simply from grinding on the very first scenario. Stalling the retirement of your character isn't good for the party or the town of Gloomhaven. If you really like your character, you can always play again as the same one after retiring Increasing town prosperity brings more items to your local merchants,ĪND ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE NEW CHARACTERS AT A HIGHER LEVEL WHEN YOU RETIRE. By finishing a Personal Goal, you retire your character, unlock a new one, and gain 1 Prosperity for the town of Gloomhaven. You will most likely have to replay a couple of scenarios to do so. While it is important to push through scenarios and play what is available to you, it is A MUST that you meet your personal goals whenever you can. some of the mentioned goals that are listed under "Hard" could easily be completed later in the game when scenarios and enemy types have already been discovered. And don't worry about "more difficult" goals later on. Not to sway your direction of which new classes you should play as first, this guide is to aid in avoiding choosing the hardest goals early on, leading in having to play a majority of the game as starter characters.
